Steps, from the top of my head:
Install docker desktop. Default/recommended options (with WSL2).
Get docker-compose.yaml file from here, and save the file in the folder of interest.
Open command prompt, browse to the folder, run:
docker-compose up airflow-init
When previous step is sucessful, run the following command:
docker-compose up
Go to the following link in your browser:
http://localhost:8080/
Log in with the password provided in the yaml file. Default is: airflow (both for username and password).
To stop, Control + C in command shell. (Perhaps there is a better method!)
Run following command:
docker-compose down
Miscellaneous points/notes:
To check running instances in docker:
docker container ls
